For much of the last decade, Tim Heidecker has chronicled the annals of adulthood on a series of supreme singer-songwriter albums, his emotional perspicacity rivaled only by a preternatural melodic ease. The crushing devastation of divorce and the existential malaise of middle-age. The minutiae of home ownership and the ritual of family vacation. Child rearing and global warming: Heidecker has handled it all with humor and heart on In Glendale (2016), Fear of Death (2020) and High School (2022). Live from Boulder is a collection of live tracks from across those albums with a couple fan favorite surprises added in. Recorded at the Boulder Theatre on August 9th during Heidecker's Summer 2022 tour with The Very Good Band (Josh Adams - Drums, Vic Berger - Keys, Connor Gallaher - Guitars, Eliana Athayde - Bass). These live recordings capture a special moment on Heidecker's first ever music and comedy tour, with a palpable post-covid energy in the room. It further highlights Heidecker's songwriting quality and undeniable ability to delight and entertain an audience.
