Die US-amerikanische Metal-Band aus Des Moines hat ihr neues Album für den 30. September angekündigt. Im Jahr 2019 erschien ihr letztes Studioalbum „We Are Not Your Kind“. Einen ersten musikalischen Vorgeschmack auf das neue Album lieferte Slipknot mit der vorab veröffentlichten Single „The Chapeltown Rag“, bei der die maskierten Mannen in gewohnter Slipknot-Manier auftreten und jedes Metal-Herz höher schlagen lassen. Aber auch das kommende Album soll vielversprechend werden. Die Worte des Slipknot-Mitglieds Sid Wilson machen jedenfalls Hoffnungen: „I don’t think everyone will ever be disappointed with what we do because we’re going to stay true to ourselves and do the music that we feel is necessary to get it all out. You know what I mean? It’s kind of a therapy session as well. I think when they listen to it, it comes through that way and not approaching it from the perspective of a rock star and what we think that the world would think of us for doing certain kind of creativity.
