Marcus Blake should need no introduction at this point. Bass player for the american band Mother Superior (and former member of the Rollins Band) presents a rock album that shows the good taste of a true professional without losing freshness and spontaneity. Distorted Hymns is a collection of songs that make you have the feeling of listening to unearthed hits from Thin Lizzy, Queen or David Bowie that for some reason never saw the light. Turn on the radio and connect to a hypothetical program of pop rock hits that should have been but were not. Thanks to his long career (session musician, arranger, composer ...) some friends of Marcus Blake did not hesitate to walk through Distorted Hymns: Henry Rollins, Lisa Ronson, Sparks, Jason Schwartzman or great producers as Mack (Queen, ELO, ...) or Brian Kehew (The Who, Fiona Apple ...) Marcus will present “Distorted Hymns” as leader of his new band The Gemini Thieves, alongside Stephan Junca and Erik Colvin (Billy Talbot Band, Gong Matrices…).
