Embark on a sonic odyssey with Fluisteraars' latest release, "Manifestaties van de Ontworteling," (set to coincide with their special concert at Roadburn Festival 2024). Translating to "Manifestations of the Uprooting," this album takes a daring leap into experimental soundscapes while retaining Fluisteraars' haunting atmosphere.
"Manifestaties van de Ontworteling" delves into the juxtaposition of human influence on Earth's natural landscapes, questioning the impact of technology on the world around us. The album challenges listeners to confront uncomfortable truths about the scars left by human conveniences on the wilderness.
Recorded live under the approach route of Eindhoven airport, the album embraces disruptions as an integral part of its concept. The trio, alongside Simon Claessen, used old analogue audio equipment to create a spontaneous and authentic sonic experience. Simon Claessen's expertise in analogue equipment adds an artistic edge to their collaboration. Together, they pose existential questions and guide listeners into uncharted territories.
Fluisteraars has been crafting musical journeys since 2005, driven by a deep passion for both music and nature. Their source of inspiration lies in the ancient legends of the Veluwe, which profoundly influenced their artistic expression. This connection between their love for music and the mystique of their origins manifests in each creation.
Having enchanted global audiences with previous masterpieces like "Bloem" and "Gegrepen Door de Geest der Zielsontluiking," Fluisteraars has proven their ability to captivate and immerse listeners in their unique soundscapes.
In the creative depths, Bob Mollema, Mink Koops, and Simon Claessen, combined with the mastering finesse of Pieter Kloos, channel their artistic brilliance. Their collaboration extends beyond mere musicality, crafting an album that transcends conventional boundaries. It's not just a collection of songs; it's a profound exploration of the soul - a beckoning to rediscover the untamed, inner wilderness within each listener.
Join Fluisteraars on this transformative journey. "Manifestaties van de Ontworteling" is more than an album; it's an experience that beckons you to explore the depths of your soul.
