Matt Traxler of Brandston and Steadfast Records commented on the reissue project:
"I am super excited to finally share this project with everyone! I have such incredibly fond memories of making and touring this record, and it's been a blast revisiting these songs. We found a nearly complete set of demos that have never been shared before, and a bunch of great photos that really captured this era. Thanks for listening!"
'90s emo-punk favorites Brandtson are set to reissue their breakout sophomore album, Fallen Star Collection on October 31 via Steadfast Records. Originally released on Deep Elm Records in 1999, the expanded edition finds a new home on the relaunched independent label operated by Brandtson?s Matt Traxler.
Cleveland's Brandtson stood out in the late '90s emo era with a pop-leaning punk sound highlighted by their intricate and infectious dual vocal harmonies and dueling guitar lines. Fallen Star Collection was anthemic and passionate, dark yet hopeful, and retains a timeless quality that holds up today.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Steadfast Records is reissuing the album on vinyl for the first time in a limited edition that comes with a bonus CD that includes 10 previously unreleased demos as well as a 36-page lyric and photo book consisting of live, recording and tour photos specific to the era.
