Ich weiss nicht, wann mich das letzte Mal eine Band so schnell so hart und direkt überzeugt hat - FAST BLOOD aus Newcastle, UK spielen eine Sorte Punk Rock, der man sich schlecht entziehen kann, energisch, voll melodisch. drückend, schnell, abwechslungsreich: wie eine Kanne Kaffee.
Neben dem ausgezeichneten Sound hat die Band 2 Asse im Ärmel, und zwar das Gitarrenspiel von Gitarrist Dave, das ziemlich eigen ist und sehr an WHITE LUNG, die DESCENDENTS und auch HOT SNAKES erinnert und -fast noch wichtiger- die Stimme von Abigail, die alles kann, immer voller Power, vom Klargesang, der sich als Ohrwurm in Dein Gehirn frisst bis hin zum irren Geschrei - die kann wirklich alles! Nicht, dass die Rhythmusgruppe zu vernachlässigen wäre: ein fähiger Drummer ist natürlich wie immer das Rückgrat einer guten Band, vor allem, wenn er so gut mit dem fetten Bass zusammenspielt!

Fast Blood has been tearing up the DIY punk scene since 2019 with their powerful & relentless sonic barrage. Since their first appearance opening for North-East legends Martha, they have shared stages with good company in the likes of Mannequin Pussy, Pegboy, and Toxic Reasons.
"Sunny Blunts" was recorded and mixed by Chris McManus at Blank Studios, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and was mastered by Will Killingsworth (Orchid, Bucket Full of Teeth, Ampere) at Dead Air Studios, Western Mass, USA.
A limited edition pressing of the LP will be available on coloured vinyl on 1st July 2024, released by Sangre Rapida Records.
